Justin Bowers :: Lead Pastor
Justin and his wife Carrie both grew up in Buckhannon, WV, and are excited to return home to plant New Community Church. But, Buckhannon, is in for a treat as they bring their three daughters, Malia, Pressley, and Isabella with them.
Justin felt called to ministry the summer before his senior year of high school on a trip serving in South Africa. He graduated from Geneva College with a degree in Student Ministry in 2001 and again from Bethel Seminary with a Master of Arts in Transformational Leadership in 2010. He has spent the past ten years serving in several churches in youth, college, and worship ministry.
Justin is passionate about seeing young leaders be unleashed in their fullest capacity, loves teaching God’s Word, and would be happy if he could collaborate with amazing teams everyday. In his spare time he loves to run, read, and play Barbies with his daughters (in very masculine ways!).
Abbie Ward :: Kidztown
Abbie is the calm in the storm among the wild world of Kidztown. She is a student through Liberty University and engaged to be married to her fiance Seth this summer!
Abbie is a long-time resident of West Virginia and passionate about seeing this community reached for Christ. She was raised on a cattle farm and spends her free time helping her parents run their own businesses.
Brittany Barlow :: Kidztown
Brittany is the logistical miracle worker of Kidztown. She manages volunteers, teaches her heart out, and answers the 10,000 questions that come each week with managing a room full of bouncing children. Brittany is the oldest of four sisters.
She is set to graduate from West Virginia Wesleyan College this May with a degree as a Reading Specialist and hopes to remain in this West Virginia region loving kids and impacting them with the gospel.
